Scammer Shield Terms of Use

Using the service

Scammer Shield provides merchant tools that help identify repeat scam patterns and support order review workflows. By using the service, you agree to use it lawfully, responsibly, and only for legitimate business purposes.

Merchant responsibilities

You are responsible for the information you submit, the security of your own website and systems, and the decisions you make about orders, customers, refunds, fulfilment, and account actions.

You must ensure that any reports you submit are accurate to the best of your knowledge and do not include raw personal information in free-text notes.

Decision support only

Scammer Shield provides review information, not final decisions. Match results, confidence values, and summaries are indicators only and should be assessed alongside your own checks, policies, and judgment.

You remain responsible for any decision to accept, reject, delay, refund, or otherwise act on an order.

Data and privacy

Customer/order signals are designed to be deidentified before transmission. Merchant setup information is handled as described in the Privacy Policy.

You must not attempt to reverse engineer, reidentify, scrape, or misuse signals, matches, or service outputs.

Prohibited use

You must not use Scammer Shield to harass, discriminate against, defame, or unlawfully profile people; interfere with the service; bypass security controls; submit malicious or misleading reports; or use the service in a way that violates applicable law or third-party rights.

Availability and changes

Scammer Shield may evolve over time. Features, integrations, and service behaviour may change as the service is improved, secured, or maintained.

We may suspend or restrict access where reasonably necessary to protect the service, investigate misuse, comply with law, or address security or operational risks.

Intellectual property

Scammer Shield, its branding, software, documentation, and service design remain the property of Scammer Shield or its licensors. These terms do not transfer ownership of the service or its underlying technology to you.

Legal rights

Nothing in these terms excludes, restricts, or modifies any right or remedy that cannot be excluded, restricted, or modified under applicable law.
